I am facing an issue while creating the product in SAP CRM. Please see the below scenario.
We have different product category for material in SAP CRM System and internal number range is assinged to all the product category.
Now we have the requirement that we need to create a new product category again for Material product (Spare parts). I have created the product category for material.
We have created one custome program to upload the material using a flat file and that flat file contains the alphanumeric as well as numeric products.
Now when i try to create a product using alphanumeric number range I am able to create as i have assigned external number range (AAAAAAAA-ZZZZZZZZZ).
But when i try to create a product using numeric number it gives me an error that Product xxxx is not in valid range. the reason for this error is that we are already using the internal number range for other product category (for example, 00000001-000099999) for material and it does not allow me to create the product. but it allows to create the product more the 7 numeric digits. But in the file we have the numeric products which has less than 5 character also.
Kindly provide me any SAP note or any way to handle this problem ASAP.
