Should we create lock on custom table.

Hi Experts,

We are having one Ztable  , purpose of Ztable is to maintain the log related to search( Account or email search or interaction history in CRM WEBUI).

So whenever user perform any search  on screen. his name, system id and search parameters get stored in this ztable.

My question is : should we maintain lock on this table.

Please help me in this regard.
