How to a value attribute to BP advances search criteria?

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement to add a value attribute to the existing Business Partner search screen.

BuilHeaderAdvancedSearch is the Entity we have used for the existing search. Now I would like to add one more custom field and based on the input provided by user I have to add selection parameters to the Query (in the background) in EH_ONSEARCH method.

I tried adding a value attribute to the context node, but the new field is not available in the Configuration.

Here are the steps I performed,

1. Right click on the Attribute and click on create

2. In the Wizzard Under Start page click continue

3. Under Selection of Attribute type Select radio button Add Value Attribute and click on continue

4. Under Attribute Definition Give the Attribute Name, DDIC Type as String and click on Continue

5. Under Complete screen click on Complete

Then I got the below mentioned popup.

After the above steps when I go to the configuration tab under the Available fields i'm not able to see this new field which I added.

Is there anything wrong in my steps? because the same steps I followed to add value attribute to other screens.

Or is there anything extra I have to do to add a field to this search.

Note:- I know AET is another method through which I can add new fields and bring the same to the search screen. But in my case i dont need a field in BUt000 so I dont see any point in using AET here.

Please avise.
